East Coast Breakfast makes the ultimate kick-off for #ECRToyStory18

Durban, South Africa – East Coast Radio Toy Story 2018, in partnership with Toys R Us and Babies R Us, is in full swing and East Coast Breakfast has decided to turn up the heat by introducing some healthy competition. The boys of the breakfast show, Darren Maule and Sky Tshabalala will go head -to- head in a soccer match at the Northwood Crusaders Sports Club on Saturday 24th of November 2018.

Both Darren and Sky will captain a full side of 11 players, which will be made up of East Coast Radio presenters and employees as well as celebrity guests, all in the name of charity. The much-anticipated soccer match will see the likes of former Bafana Bafana player, Delron Buckley, former Amazulu player, George Koumantakaris, and singer, Kyle Deutsch take to the field as well as surprise appearances by radio and sports veterans as well as crowd favourites. Award-winning comedian, Carvin Goldstone is the event’s MC and official commentator. The ‘Ultimate Kick-Off’ soccer match is open to the public with the entrance fee being a new toy donation that will go towards the Toy Story 2018 drive.

There’s no telling what surprises Darren and Sky might bring on the day as they are both very competitive and determined to make it a day to remember. Darren Maule has called on listeners to get in on the action, “I am hoping to see many of our fans and listeners at our Ultimate Kick Off for Toy Story 2018. I’m excited for a day full of fun and cheer yet nervous because I know my opponent; Sky Tshabalala is a sports jock and a soccer coach, so I know I’m in for a good battle. I encourage everyone to bring your families and spend an hour or two with us because this is a game you don’t want to miss.”

Gates at for the footy showdown at the Northwood Crusaders Sports club open at 9am. Be sure not to miss his family day out in support of a great cause. The story begins with you!
