Born Keaoleboga Sebalo on September 26, 1996, Kayton is a singer, songwriter and producer with big musical inspirations and a bright future ahead of him.
Kayton is a Joburg based upcoming pop artist whose music is aimed at bringing love and happiness to everyone who gets to listen to it. As an upcoming artist, Kayton’s new single titled ‘Forever’ is sure to set the scene alight and propel him to the forefront of pop culture not only in South Africa but the entire world.
Signed under Zero One One Entertainment, Kayton’s musical inspirations are Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars;mainly because of their ability to both sing and dance. Kayton is a multi-instrumentalist- play guitar, drums, keyboard and also has impressive dance skills. He does a lot of underground production for many artists such as Buhle N and Dj Thembaland, Tony Q and has also worked with the likes of Dj Farmer in the highly-popular genre of Amapiano.
Kayton knew when he was only seven years old that he was destined for the stage when he jumped in front of over 1 000 people in his hometown of Jankempdorp and danced to the applause and appreciation of all in attendance. Kayton started off his music journey by recording in a small studio in his mother’s bedroom where he managed to put up basically a computer and 2 small speakers and keyboard and started recording in there.He would record his songs ,mix and master them as he is also from the school of Music in Braamfontien where he studied music for a short period of time.
Since then, music and dance have been his life and he can’t really remember when he decided to take it up professionally as it was always his lifestyle.
Kayton describes his personality and dress code as funky and happy because he wants to spread love and happiness wherever he goes.
His latest release,”Forever”, speaks about appreciating the essence of women.
“I wrote the song for someone that’s close to my heart but the depths of the song and the message is for every woman and respect that I have for them. The song encourages that they know their value and purpose in the world.He is showing gratitude to every woman out there as he speaks of the power they have and the change they bring to the world.
The song’s release coincided with the heightened out cry over Gender-Based Violence in South Africa and Kayton says: “We all know what’s happening with the violence against women and this song symbolizes the love, the care, the protection and respect we need to give the women.”
Kayton has main evented the South African Fashion Week 2020 at The Mall of Africa and also main evented Dr Pashy’s birthday event which had a number of important celebrities from the entertainment fraternity.As a young artist Kayton aims to collaborate with some of the international artists in the music industry with his afro pop and also help with production on the Amapiano scene which has taken South Africa by storm.With his kind of dance moves that almost looks like the legend’s moves Micheal Jackson ,Kayton has proved to be a well recognized upcoming artist especially after stealin the show at the South African Fashion Week at The Mall Of Africa last year.With assistance from his label Zero One One Entertainment pty ltd he believes his future is brighter and the world is not ready for him.
Working on his album which is set to be hitting the shelves before the end of this year 2021, Kayton has promised his fans nothing more than fire in this upcoming album and as he ends up by saying,” My recent EP called Elevate” is just a tip of an iceberg expect great stuff coming soon!!!
